Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is Elise, and I am a functional analyst at Hutix. Coming straight out of university, this is my first official working experience. A little bit nervous in the beginning, as you would expect, but I love every single minute of my new adventure! I am delighted that I was allowed to start my professional career in such a supportive working environment as Hutix. Why? Well, I will tell you all about it in my blog, so keep on reading.
Fresh start
Finding a job after graduating and sending out several cover letters can be difficult. Luckily, I was one of the fortunate ones, as Hutix contacted me during my final year at university. I got a LinkedIn message from Niels, one of the business partners at Hutix, saying he was interested in my profile and wanted to talk about the possibility of me joining their clan after my graduation. I was thrilled to bits with his message. At this point, I wasn’t familiar with Hutix yet, but it felt special to be wanted for your knowledge. Being given a work opportunity before you even graduate is a huge chance.
I immediately looked Hutix up on the internet. At that time, they were a six-month-old company. I read their description and remember finding them bold and authentic. Following up on his email, Niels and I had a call to discuss my work possibilities. His proposition dazzled me. After hearing about Hutix's values and how they wanted to evolve, I knew that I would be delighted to become a part of their team and a Titan in their clan.
New kids in town
As I said earlier, Hutix was only six months old when I first found out about them, and I started working there as soon as I graduated. So I think I can say we were both new kids in town, and what kids! I felt like Hutix was led by people knowing what they wanted to do. They put their money where their mouth is and pursue their intents. I was also impressed by how Hutix sees and treats its employees as its beating heart. Everyone is valued and listened to, which is how we work best.
After signing my first work contract, I had a lot to figure out. However, during my education, I discovered that I wanted to work in a challenging domain and avoid a monotonous job. I wanted to grow and approach innovation. So far, so good, I would say! I currently work as a functional analyst on a project for the ULB [Université Libre de Bruxelles]. My job is to follow the functional questions during the internal projects. I like the ambivalence between my role's social and technical aspects, which I wanted to experience. I also like the technical and legal challenges surrounding the evolution of databases even so much that I would like to develop greater expertise on this topic.
Collaboration and diversification
IT consultancy doesn't have to be boring or repetitive; everybody at Hutix knows that. Our founders implement a particular emphasis on collaboration and diversification. That way, they ensure we stand out from the ordinary. And although we all take our work very seriously, there is always such a great vibe between everyone. What you see is what you get; Hutix is a hard-working company with a great vibe and a heart for its consultants. I feel like I couldn't have landed a better role than where I am right now, and I know that nobody could be disappointed here at Hutix.
